HiBy W4 portable DAC/amp with touch display and Bluetooth

HiBy has introduced the portable DAC/amp HiBy W4, which is already on sale. The newcomer targets users who want a versatile audio device with high sound quality, touch-based control, and the option to wear the device directly on clothing. The idea reads as purpose-built for everyday listening without getting in the way.

The W4 features a compact chassis with a contrasting design and a 2-inch color display that fully supports touch control. The interface lets you manage every function without reaching for a smartphone, and in Bluetooth mode the screen shows album art. The device can work as either a wireless or a wired DAC/amp for phones and players, keeping setups flexible.

Inside are two CS43198 chips, Qualcomm’s QCC5181 Bluetooth platform, and two independent headphone amplifiers. The W4 handles DSD512 and PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit. For headphones, it offers 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm outputs; in balanced mode, maximum output power reaches 475 mW. Two low-noise crystal oscillators help keep performance stable. On paper, it’s an audiophile-leaning configuration with clear ambitions.

The device also supports NFC for quick pairing, a driving mode, a microphone input, and cVc noise suppression for calls. You can control calls right from the body, and the built-in 1,500 mAh battery delivers up to six hours of use. That runtime isn’t long-haul, yet it should easily cover daily commutes and focus sessions.

Overall, HiBy presents the W4 as a multifunctional portable audio solution that blends a touch-first interface, strong output power, and support for modern wireless and wired scenarios. In practice, that mix makes it a convenient pocket companion for a range of listening habits.
