Belkin has unveiled ConnectAir, a wireless HDMI adapter that lets you mirror a device’s screen to a display without joining Wi‑Fi or using Bluetooth. Shown at CES 2026, it’s positioned as a fast, secure way to duplicate screens in offices, meeting rooms, and classrooms.
ConnectAir is a two-piece kit: a USB‑C transmitter plugs into a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, while an HDMI receiver connects to a TV, monitor, or projector. The receiver draws power over USB‑A. The two units establish a direct wireless link with a range of up to 40 meters, depending on conditions.
The adapter supports 1080p video at 60 Hz with a stated latency under 80 ms. It works with USB‑C devices that support DisplayPort Alt Mode, including laptops on Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS, as well as iPad Pro and iPad Air models on M1 and M2, plus select smartphones. One receiver can be paired with up to eight transmitters, which makes handoffs during shared presentations straightforward.
Because of its resolution and latency limits, ConnectAir isn’t aimed at gaming; the focus is clearly professional use. Belkin priced it at $150, with sales expected to start in early 2026. It comes across as a pragmatic tool that trades cutting-edge specs for a simple setup that teams can rely on.
