Samsung has begun rolling out the third One UI 8.5 beta, built on Android 16 QPR2, for the Galaxy S25 series. The update is already available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in South Korea and the United States, with other regions set to receive it in the coming days.
The ZZA3 firmware, as early leaks suggested, brings six changes and interface refinements. While Samsung has yet to publish the full list of additions, the build includes the January 2026 security patch, whose details also remain undisclosed. Notably, in some markets this release will effectively be the second One UI 8.5 beta rather than the third, a consequence of the staggered testing schedule across regions.
Samsung is continuing to fine-tune One UI 8.5 ahead of the final release, and the current beta, judging by the cadence of updates, could be among the last before a stable version reaches the company’s 2025 flagships.
