The OnePlus Nord 6 could emerge as one of the brand’s most enduring smartphones, potentially even surpassing the flagship OnePlus 15 in sheer battery capacity. The device has already surfaced in TDRA certification in the UAE and in TÜV listings, which confirm 80W fast charging and a 9,000 mAh battery.
For context, the OnePlus Nord 5 carried a 5,200 mAh cell—already generous for its segment. Moving to 9,000 mAh could theoretically deliver nearly double the stamina, though real-world longevity will hinge on the chipset, software tuning, and other components. On paper, it’s a bold step that puts efficiency in the spotlight.
There’s a strong chance the Nord 6 will be the global version of the OnePlus Turbo 6, set to debut in China on January 8, 2026. If that plays out, the phone would feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, and configurations up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Such a mix would push the midrange further into premium territory.
The cameras are rumored to mirror the Nord 5: a 50 MP main unit and an 8 MP ultrawide, while the front camera may be simplified to 16 MP. The chassis is also tipped for serious water and dust protection, reportedly reaching IP68, IP69, and IP69K—still a rarity for the mid-tier. If those ratings hold, durability could become another calling card.
Big batteries are quickly becoming OnePlus’s new baseline: the OnePlus 15 and 15R already pack more than 7,300 mAh. If the leaks are accurate, a 9,000 mAh Nord 6 is expected in summer 2026 and would rank among the longest-lasting phones in its class, sending a clear signal to the competition.
