Google has officially unveiled its Pixel 10 lineup, marking one of the company’s most anticipated launches of the year. The event took place not only online but also live in New York, where well-known U.S. host Jimmy Fallon made an appearance, adding a touch of showmanship to the presentation.
What stood out, however, was that almost nothing came as a surprise. Long before the Made by Google 2025 event began, the key details—including prices—had already leaked. Still, the launch confirmed what many expected: while the phones look nearly identical to their predecessors, Google has packed them with new capabilities.
The standard Pixel 10 models retain the familiar design, with the main camera spanning horizontally across the back. Under the hood, all devices in the series are powered by Google’s Tensor G5 chip, this time manufactured by TSMC instead of Samsung. Although the new processor doesn’t dominate in synthetic benchmarks, it integrates seamlessly with Google’s own technologies and AI features, which remain the centerpiece of the Pixel experience.
One of the most notable changes is found in the camera system. For the first time, even the base Pixel 10 includes a third sensor: a telephoto lens that brings optical zoom to the entry-level model. Beyond hardware, Google has upgraded its camera software. Users can now turn photos into videos with the help of Gemini AI, which also assists with tasks ranging from searching for products online to solving homework assignments.
The Pixel 10 Pro distinguishes itself with more RAM, a refined choice of materials, and new color options. Yet the true separation lies in photography—the Pro version supports up to a 100x hybrid zoom. The Pixel 10 Pro XL offers the same features but with a larger display, catering to those who prefer extra screen real estate. At the top of the lineup sits the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google’s foldable flagship that combines a flexible display with a strong camera setup. It is also the most expensive model in the family.
With this new generation, Google reinforces its strategy: not to chase raw numbers, but to focus on intelligent features and camera innovation, aiming to keep the Pixel brand firmly at the center of the smartphone conversation.
