Realme folds back into OPPO as a sub-brand alongside OnePlus

Realme is moving back under OPPO’s umbrella, giving up its independent label. The change comes as part of a broader restructuring designed to tighten cooperation between OPPO, Realme, and OnePlus.

CEO Sky Li stays at the helm and will steer Realme as a sub-brand. OPPO becomes the lead brand, while Realme and OnePlus operate as supporting companies with their own marketing playbooks. The shift may trim Realme’s operational footprint, yet smartphone launches remain on schedule.

Realme will also plug into OPPO’s after-sales service network, which spans more than 50,000 stores across China. The aim of the shake-up is to streamline resource management, raise efficiency across the brands, and support global expansion.

In short, Realme keeps its name and taste for innovation but now works under OPPO’s wing—more a recalibration of market posture than a change of course.
