Sony is gearing up to unveil the January update to the PlayStation Plus catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers, and early reports point to a brisk start to 2026. The official announcement is expected on January 14, but the headline additions have already surfaced.
The centerpiece is Resident Evil Village, which will enter PlayStation Plus for the first time. At the same time, the game is slated to land on Xbox Game Pass, making January a particularly lively month for fans of the series. No less notable is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth from Ryu Ga Gotoku — a critically praised release that hasn’t been available on any subscription service until now. They’ll be joined by Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, the horror title A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, the atmospheric The Exit 8, and the stylish racer art of rally. According to current information, all of these are set to arrive for Extra and Premium members on January 20, 2026.
Premium subscribers are also in line for an expansion of the Classics catalog. Ridge Racer from the original PlayStation is expected to join the library alongside Ridge Racer 2 and Ridge Racer Type 4. It will most likely be the classic version rather than an updated edition with added features. Whether more classic titles will make the cut in January remains an open question that should be resolved once Sony goes official.
