One UI 8 brings Android 16 to Galaxy S25, global rollout begins

Samsung has kept its promise and launched the global One UI 8 update, based on Android 16, for the Galaxy S25 series. On September 15, South Korean users enrolled in the beta program were the first to receive the new firmware. The stable One UI 8 build is now available to Galaxy S25 owners in countries that did not host the beta. To download it, open Settings → Software update and select Download and install.

In the coming weeks, One UI 8 will reach other Samsung devices. The 2024 flagships are next in line, although in some regions the update may only appear by October.

While not as sweeping as its predecessor, One UI 8 brings noticeable refinements to the interface and system optimization. Among the additions is AI support designed to make everyday use more convenient. The restrained scope suggests a release focused on polish and practical gains rather than headline changes, a pace that tends to benefit daily reliability.
