OpenAI has announced the global launch of ChatGPT Go, a more affordable subscription tier previously tested in India and several other countries. Users worldwide can now sign up for this subscription.
ChatGPT Go offers significantly more features compared to the free version of the service. Specifically, users get approximately 100 messages within a certain time interval, along with increased limits for file uploads and image generation. The context window and memory capacity are also expanded, making it easier to work with conversations and projects.
In countries where the subscription was already available, users have actively employed ChatGPT Go for learning, writing, creating images, and solving everyday tasks. This demonstrates demand for a more functional yet inexpensive subscription option.
Notably, ChatGPT Go subscribers will soon see advertisements, initially in the U.S. Meanwhile, users on more expensive plans, including ChatGPT Plus, won't encounter ads. OpenAI hasn't yet disclosed the exact limits for file uploads, image generation, or the duration of the message time intervals.
