FiiO has unveiled the new JM21 2026 portable audio player, targeting enthusiasts of high-quality sound and wired headphones. This device combines digital audio player and DAC functions in a slim, lightweight body, focusing on high-resolution audio and advanced circuitry rarely seen in compact units.
At its core, the JM21 2026 uses the Snapdragon 680 processor, familiar from mid-range smartphones. It runs on a modified Android 13 system, equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD cards up to 2 TB. This setup allows users to listen to local files and stream from services without restrictions.
The player's standout feature is its audio path. FiiO employed two Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs with separate circuitry for the left and right channels, providing a balanced headphone output. It supports playback of files up to 32-bit/384 kHz, DSD512 formats, and carries Hi-Res Audio certification. For wireless listening, it includes LDAC, LHDC, and aptX HD codecs.
With a built-in 3,100 mAh battery, the JM21 2026 can deliver up to 700 mW of power, making it suitable even for demanding full-size headphones. Users have access to three gain levels and a customizable volume curve to fine-tune the sound for different headphone impedances and sensitivities.
In practice, this means the player offers versatility for various listening scenarios. The FiiO JM21 2026 will go on sale on January 23, 2026, in black and blue colors, with a recommended price of around $250, available through FiiO's official store. Weighing just 156 grams and measuring 13 mm thick, it aims to be an everyday universal Hi-Res player.
