Mangmi has officially revealed the full specifications of its Pocket Max portable gaming console. The device features a retro-style design but packs modern hardware. After a series of teasers, the brand showcased it on social media, confirming a focus on an advanced display, active cooling, and modular controls.
At its core, the Pocket Max uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It sports a 7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The screen supports HDR, offers a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, and covers 155% of the sRGB color gamut. A protective glass covers not just the display but the entire front panel.
For controls, Mangmi employs asymmetrical RGB joysticks with TMR sensors, Hall-effect triggers, and a six-axis gyroscope. A key feature is the magnetic, swappable modules for the ABXY buttons and D-pad, along with two programmable buttons on the back. This allows users to adapt the device to different gaming genres and personal preferences.
The Pocket Max runs on Android 13 and includes an active cooling system with a fan. It supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and video output via USB-C 3.1. The console also has a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microSD slot. Power comes from an 8,000 mAh battery with 27 W fast charging. It weighs 450 grams and will be available in black, white, and a Retro GB-inspired color scheme. Pricing and launch dates have not yet been announced.
