Jabra unveils Evolve3 work headsets with built-in mics

Jabra has unveiled its new flagship Evolve3 series of work headsets, featuring the Evolve3 75 and Evolve3 85 models. The most significant—and arguably controversial—change is the complete removal of the flexible microphone boom, which had long been a hallmark of the Evolve lineup. Instead, the company is now relying on a built-in microphone system and software-based voice processing.

Both new models target corporate users who prioritize battery life and comfort during extended use. Jabra claims the over-ear Evolve3 85 offers up to 120 hours of music playback, while the on-ear Evolve3 75 provides up to 110 hours, both with active noise cancellation turned off. In call mode, the headsets last up to 25 and 22 hours respectively, and a quick charge feature delivers up to 10 hours of use after just 10 minutes of charging.

Despite the absence of an external microphone, the manufacturer promises high-quality speech transmission thanks to a multi-microphone array, noise-canceling algorithms, and built-in intelligent audio processing. Other highlighted features include adaptive ANC, spatial audio, support for LC3, SBC, and AAC codecs, wireless charging capability, and replaceable batteries.

The Evolve3 85 with its over-ear design is priced at $649, while the more compact Evolve3 75 costs $463. Black versions of both headsets will go on sale starting March 1, with a warm gray variant following about a month later.
