MSI has announced the global launch of the Prestige 16 AI+ Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Limited Edition, a special laptop created in partnership with the legendary racing brand Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. This limited-edition device blends premium, motorsport-inspired design with modern technology, targeting professionals who value mobility, performance, and status.
The laptop's chassis is made from a magnesium-aluminum alloy and features AMG's signature color scheme of gray and silver tones with red accents. The Motorsport logo is laser-engraved. At about 18 mm thick and weighing roughly 1.5 kg, it's designed for easy portability. The package includes AMG-branded accessories like a case, mouse, and mousepad, emphasizing the limited edition's character.
At its core, the Prestige 16 AI+ uses a new-generation Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with a built-in neural processing unit, which speeds up AI-related tasks, video editing, and 3D graphics. MSI's AI Engine automatically adjusts performance for different use cases, such as presentations, content work, or video conferences, without manual tweaking.
It comes with a 16-inch OLED display featuring a 3840×2400 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, delivering high brightness, deep blacks, and full DCI-P3 color space coverage. For business users, enhanced security options include a 5 MP IR camera with Windows Hello, a hardware TPM, a physical webcam shutter, and a wide array of ports, including Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader, and LAN.
The Prestige 16 AI+ Mercedes-AMG Motorsport is positioned as both a business tool and a luxury item, reflecting a philosophy of precision and speed. The model is already available in select markets, with a price of 34,999 rand in South Africa, highlighting its exclusive appeal for those who prioritize technology and design equally.
