Samsung launches a limited Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, featuring exclusive design and athlete-focused services.

Samsung has unveiled a special edition of its Galaxy Z Flip7 foldable smartphone, dedicated to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The company has long used limited sports editions to highlight the flagship status of its devices, and this time, the new model is tied to the Winter Games, which will run from February 4 to 22, 2026.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition features exclusive design elements inspired by the Olympic spirit. The casing comes in a distinctive blue shade that, according to Samsung, blends the brand's signature style with Italy's cultural heritage, symbolizing unity and athletic camaraderie. The metal frame is finished in gold, referencing the pursuit of victory and the Olympic podium. The package includes a transparent magnetic case with a blue ring and golden laurel branches, representing triumph.
As with previous Olympic releases, this smartphone will be genuinely rare. Samsung will provide the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition free of charge to all competition participants—nearly 3,800 athletes from about 90 countries. This makes the device a collector's item, and while some units will likely appear on the secondary market, no mass sales are planned.
The software side also receives special attention. The smartphone comes with exclusive Olympic-themed wallpapers and a suite of services for athletes: Galaxy Athlete Cards for communication and interaction, Athlete365 for health and training support, the official Olympic Games app, IOC Hotline, and the PinQuest service. Additionally, Samsung offers participants 100 GB of 5G eSIM data, allowing them to use the device alongside their primary smartphone.
Distribution of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will begin on January 30 in the Olympic Villages across six host cities. For some athletes, this smartphone will serve as a practical tool during the Games; for others, it will be a commemorative and status-driven souvenir, emphasizing Samsung's connection to global sports.
