Nothing Phone 4a Pro features IP65 rating and battery upgrade

The Nothing Phone 4a Pro is back in the spotlight with fresh leaks, and this time the news looks promising for potential buyers. According to new details from the European EPREL certification database, this mid-range smartphone will feature improved dust and water resistance, along with a slight battery upgrade, making it more competitive as prices in the segment continue to rise.

Documents reveal that the Nothing Phone 4a Pro, with model number A069P, is equipped with a 5,080 mAh battery. That's only a modest increase over last year's Phone 3a Pro, but it's likely the base Phone 4a will get the same battery, following the pattern of the previous generation. Charging speed remains unchanged at 50W, which still holds up well for mid-tier devices.

The key improvement lies in the body's protection rating: the Nothing Phone 4a Pro now boasts an IP65 rating instead of IP64. This means better defense against water, particularly from jets and splashes, though the phone isn't designed for submersion. Dust protection remains high, a detail that matters for everyday durability.

Earlier leaks had already indicated that both models in the series will run on the Snapdragon 7s chipset, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Pro version, according to rumors, will also add eSIM support, while the standard Phone 4a might skip this feature.

Pricing hasn't been officially confirmed yet, but the Phone 4a is expected to cost around $475, with the Pro version at roughly $540—a noticeable jump from last year's models. This increase is linked to rising component costs and potential design enhancements. No exact launch date has been set, but given the certification activity, the release could happen in the coming months.
