Samsung Galaxy S26 price leak hints at stable or lower costs

A new leak has emerged that could delight future buyers of Samsung's flagship phones. According to a reliable insider, the company does not plan to raise prices for the Galaxy S26 lineup, and some versions of the Galaxy S26 Ultra might even become cheaper compared to last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra. This move appears particularly unexpected given rising production costs in the industry.

The official debut of the Galaxy S26 series is expected at the end of next month, with the smartphones set to replace the current Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Edge model, despite its older hardware, will likely remain on sale and could be priced closer to the future S26 Ultra than to the standard versions.

Journalist and insider Roland Quandt reports that the Galaxy S26 Ultra in 256GB and 512GB configurations will cost about 100 euros less than last year's model. The starting price is expected to be around 1,349 euros, with the 512GB version rising to 1,469 euros. The 1TB variant is rumored to keep its previous price tag.

As for the base Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus, they are claimed to stay roughly at the same level as their predecessors. In the U.S., prices might start at 799 dollars for the Galaxy S26, around 999 dollars for the S26 Plus, and approximately 1,199 dollars for the S26 Ultra.

Overall, Samsung has probably decided to absorb the increased production costs and not pass them on to customers, at least within its main flagship lineup. If the leak is confirmed, the Galaxy S26 could become one of the most attractive premium smartphone series of 2026 in terms of pricing.
