Ayaneo has launched a new compact gaming handheld, the Pocket S Mini, which is now available worldwide without a pre-order phase. This device is the smallest in the brand's lineup of Android consoles, targeting users who want a pocket-sized format without compromising on power, especially for retro emulation and mobile gaming.
The Pocket S Mini runs on the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 platform and features very compact dimensions of 167×78×18.5 mm, weighing just 305 grams. Despite its small size, it includes a 6,000 mAh battery, active cooling, and Hall effect sensors in the controls, which enhance precision and durability for the joysticks.
The console is equipped with a 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280×960 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio, making it particularly well-suited for classic games. Ayaneo also uses fast LPDDR5X-8533 memory and UFS 4.0 storage, though the base 128 GB version uses UFS 3.1.
The starting price for the Pocket S Mini is $319 for the 8/128 GB configuration. The version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs just $20 more, while the top-tier Retro Power model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is priced at $479.
Ayaneo emphasizes that the device is already in stock, and orders placed by February 10 will be shipped by February 12. After that, deliveries may be delayed until late February due to Chinese New Year celebrations. Overall, the Pocket S Mini stands out as one of the most intriguing pocket-sized retro consoles of 2026, thanks to its blend of compactness, high performance, and flagship features.
