New leaks about the Redmi K Pad 2 have surfaced online, suggesting it could become one of the most powerful compact tablets in its class. According to insiders, the second generation will see significant improvements in battery life, feature a high refresh rate display, and pack flagship-level hardware. The information comes from well-known insider Digital Chat Station, who discussed a high-performance tablet without naming it directly. However, the specifications leave little doubt that this refers to the Redmi K Pad 2, the successor to last year's Redmi K Pad.
The device is reported to come with an 8.8-inch LCD display with 3K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen will retain the compact form factor of the previous model but offer smoother visuals tailored for gaming and multimedia.
In addition, the tablet will get a flagship-grade processor, enhanced haptic feedback from dual vibration motors, and symmetrical stereo speakers with fine-tuned audio. A key upgrade is the 9000 mAh battery, marking a notable step up from the 7500 mAh battery in the first generation.
Rumors indicate the Redmi K Pad 2 will launch alongside the new performance flagship Redmi K90 Ultra in the first half of the year. The announcement is expected in May or June. On the global market, the device will likely be released as the Xiaomi Pad Mini 2.
