Beelink SER10 Max: a compact PC with local AI capabilities

Beelink has launched the new compact SER10 Max PC, focusing not just on power but also on local AI capabilities. The device is already available in China and is built around the latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, with a global release expected soon.

At its core is a 4nm AMD chip with a hybrid architecture featuring 12 cores that combine high-performance Zen 5 and energy-efficient Zen 5c. The processor can boost up to 5.2 GHz and includes integrated Radeon 890M graphics based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. A key highlight is the emphasis on artificial intelligence, with total performance reaching 86 TOPS, of which 55 TOPS comes from the XDNA 2 neural engine. This allows for running language models and other AI tasks locally without relying on the cloud.

Despite its compact size, the SER10 Max supports up to 256 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 8 TB of SSD storage thanks to two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots. For connectivity, it offers HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and USB4, all supporting 4K at high refresh rates. It also includes 10-gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2, making it an appealing option for both workstations and home AI labs.

Beelink paid special attention to cooling. The MSC 2.0 system with a vapor chamber and quiet fans is designed to handle prolonged workloads without throttling, while the slim metal chassis, under 45 mm thick, fits easily into any workspace.

In China, the SER10 Max is available in several configurations, from barebone versions to models with 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of SSD storage. The company has confirmed that global pre-orders will open soon, so this AI-focused mini PC will be accessible beyond China.
