Lenovo has officially announced the updated Legion Y700 tablet with artificial intelligence capabilities. The device will go on sale in March and will be available in black and white. The manufacturer positions this new model as a flagship among compact AI devices.
According to information published by blogger Digital Chat Station, the tablet will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor. The Legion Y700 comes equipped with an 8.8-inch LCD display with a resolution of 3,040×1,904 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The claimed screen brightness reaches 800 nits. The tablet will be available in several memory configurations: 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage, 16 GB with 512 GB, and a top-tier version with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The package includes a 68 W fast charging adapter. The device weighs approximately 360 grams.
In response to user questions, the source noted that a switch to an OLED display is expected only in the next generation of the device. It was also confirmed that the high 165 Hz refresh rate will become standard for compact screens in this category.
Previously, Lenovo Legion separately revealed the display specifications of the Legion Y700. The screen boasts a density of 408 PPI, support for the DCI-P3 color gamut, 12-bit color depth, and an ultra-high touch sampling rate of up to 2,640 Hz. The tablet maintains a compact form factor and is primarily aimed at gaming and performance-intensive tasks using AI.
