Documents from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have revealed details about new versions of the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan. Despite nearly unchanged battery sizes, Xiaomi engineers have managed to significantly increase the vehicle's range on a single charge.
The updated SU7 lineup includes three variants: Standard, Pro, and Max. Their battery capacities are 73 kWh, 96.3 kWh, and 101.7 kWh, respectively. The Pro version can now travel 902 km without recharging, the Standard 720 km, and the Max 835 km. This efficiency gain comes from an improved powertrain and new V6s Plus electric motors. Both the Standard and Pro use a 752V high-voltage platform, while the Max uses an 897V platform, enabling record-fast charging speeds.
All variants come equipped with LiDAR and a 4D millimeter-wave radar for spatial awareness, supported by a powerful chip capable of 700 trillion operations per second. Safety has been enhanced, with the number of airbags increased from seven to nine. Externally, the updated SU7 features a new Capri Blue paint option, a revised radiator grille, and new 20-inch wheels. Inside, there's a new Dark Night Black interior color, an updated steering wheel, and a redesigned instrument panel.
Pre-orders are already open, with official sales starting in March. Pricing is as follows: Standard — 229,900 yuan (≈€28,000), Pro — 259,900 yuan (≈€31,700), and Max — 309,900 yuan (≈€37,800).
