Apple iOS 26.3 introduces Transfer to Android feature

Apple has released iOS 26.3, introducing a new feature called "Transfer to Android." iPhone users can now move their data directly to an Android device through system settings, eliminating the need for additional apps.

The new tool is located in Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Transfer to Android. To start the process, users need to place both devices close together, scan a QR code on the Android smartphone, and confirm login credentials. After that, they can select which data to transfer.

The feature allows the transfer of photos, messages, apps, phone numbers, notes, passwords, and even Live Photos. However, not all data types are supported: health information, paired Bluetooth devices, and protected system elements do not transfer.

Previously, switching from iPhone to Android typically required a third-party app, but Apple now offers a built-in solution. Interestingly, this move coincides with the appearance of a similar feature in Android test versions, which enables data transfer in the opposite direction—from Android to iOS.

Overall, switching ecosystems is becoming easier and more convenient, with the process now less reliant on extra services.
