Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC release date and details

Kojima Productions has announced the release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on PC—the game will launch March 19. The announcement came during the State of Play presentation, where it was also confirmed that Nixxes Software, a Sony-owned studio specializing in adapting PlayStation exclusives for PC, is handling the port.

The sequel's story takes place in Australia nearly a year after the events of the first game. Players will once again step into the role of Sam Porter Bridges and embark on a dangerous journey through a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by mysterious creatures. The main objective remains the same: unite the survivors and connect them to the chiral network.

The PC version will feature several technical enhancements. Developers promise support for upscalers and frame generation technologies from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, unlimited frame rates, and full 4K mode. The game will also be compatible with ultrawide monitors in 21:9 and 32:9 formats. On the audio side, it offers 3D audio support via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, and Windows Sonic for headphones. Controls work with both keyboard and mouse or a DualSense controller.

Pre-orders are now available on Steam and Epic Games Store for $70. For $80, a digital Deluxe edition with extra in-game bonuses is up for grabs.
