Google has released Android 17 Beta 1, but this initial build is purely technical—it contains no new features or noticeable changes. Its sole purpose is to test app compatibility and prepare developers for the next stage of the platform's evolution. Even so, we now know which Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices are set to receive the Android 17 update. The list is based on the company's official support policy and data from the AER page.
More than 70 models are included. Among them are current flagship series like the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 14, and Xiaomi 13, including Pro and Ultra variants. Foldable devices from the MIX Flip and MIX Fold series will get support, as will tablets from the Pad 8 and Pad 7 lineups. In the mid-range segment, the update is expected for POCO F6 through F8, POCO X6 and X7, Redmi K models starting with the K60 Ultra, and several Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 15 devices. On the budget end, Android 17 will arrive on select POCO M7 to M8 models, POCO C devices, and some versions of the Redmi 14 and 15.
However, there are exceptions. For instance, the Redmi Note 14 5G and POCO M7 Pro 5G won't receive Android 17 despite being relatively new. This comes down to the stated update policy: these models launched with HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14 and are guaranteed only two major OS upgrades—to Android 15 and Android 16. Security patches will continue longer, but the jump to Android 17 falls outside their support window.
The stable version of Android 17 is expected in summer 2026. Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 15 flagship series will be updated first, while mid-range and budget devices typically follow several months later. Barring any hiccups, most supported models should make the switch to Android 17 by the end of 2027.
