ViewSonic unveils new 360Hz gaming monitor for esports enthusiasts

ViewSonic has unveiled a new gaming monitor in China, targeting esports enthusiasts and demanding gamers. The VX27G26-2K-3 features a 27-inch IPS panel with QHD resolution (2560×1440 pixels) and a 360Hz refresh rate. This model is a simplified version of the previously announced VX27G26-2K-4, which supports up to 425Hz. Despite this, the new monitor retains key specs like a Fast IPS matrix and a 1ms GtG response time.

According to the manufacturer, the display offers 16.7 million colors and covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 98% of DCI-P3. This makes it suitable not just for gaming but also for graphics work. The design follows the series' familiar style, with thin bezels and a compact stand. Connectivity includes two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.1 ports, an audio output, and one USB Type-A port. While HDMI caps the refresh rate at 320Hz, DisplayPort supports the full 360Hz natively.

Additional features include HDR10 support, FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility, and a special mode for enhancing visibility in dark scenes. Pricing and availability details have not been revealed yet, but the monitor is expected to launch first in China before expanding to other markets.
