ACEMAGIC Retro X5 mini PC unveiled with retro NES design and powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor

ACEMAGIC has officially unveiled its new Retro X5 mini PC in China, with a design clearly inspired by the classic Nintendo NES console. This stylish retro look is extremely rare among modern mini PCs, and the Retro X5 appears almost as an exact replica of the legendary gaming system.

Under the hood, the Retro X5 packs a powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Strix Point processor. This chip features 12 cores and 24 threads based on the Zen 5 architecture. By integrating CPU, GPU, and NPU, it makes the mini PC well-suited for AI workloads, gaming, and various applications. The integrated Radeon 890M graphics, built on the RDNA 3.5 architecture, also delivers high performance.

The Retro X5's chassis comes in a two-tone gray and white color scheme with recognizable decorative elements. The power button has been moved to the right side, while the area for the Reset button now houses USB ports: one Type-C and two Type-A. A 3.5mm audio jack is also located nearby. On the rear panel, you'll find two additional USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, HDMI 2.1 and DP 2.0 ports, as well as two 2.5G LAN ports for wired connectivity.

In practice, this means the mini PC comes equipped with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. The Retro X5 is priced at around 6,499 yuan, which is roughly equivalent to 940 US dollars. It remains unclear whether the device will be available on the global market, but information about an international release is expected to follow.

Looking ahead, ACEMAGIC also plans to launch a Retro X3 model. This version will be based on a Ryzen 7 H 255 processor with an integrated Radeon 780M iGPU. While this model is set to be more affordable, a precise announcement date has not yet been revealed.
