Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to feature new Privacy Display technology

Samsung is set to unveil its Galaxy S26 series on February 25th. One of the key rumored features for the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a new Privacy Display technology. This hardware-based solution restricts screen viewing angles to protect your information from prying eyes in public spaces.

According to insider Ice Universe, this technology could eventually make its way to Apple laptops as well. MacBooks might receive a similar feature by 2029. If confirmed, this would mark a significant advancement in built-in privacy protection for the portable computer market.

The Privacy Display's standout feature is its ability to selectively limit content visibility. Users can activate protection for specific screen areas or turn it off entirely when needed. Unlike software-based approaches, this technology is reportedly implemented at the hardware level, making it more effective and less reliant on third-party applications.

Initially, this function is expected to remain exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Other manufacturers might adopt it later if the technology proves popular with consumers.
