vivo has unveiled the V70 Elite smartphone, a device that's officially classified as mid-range but boasts specifications that clearly push beyond that category. At its core lies Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, a simplified version of the flagship platform that delivers performance approaching top-tier models. The phone comes equipped with up to 12GB of fast LPDDR5X memory and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage—features typically reserved for higher-end devices.
One of the V70 Elite's standout features is its 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. vivo claims an extreme peak brightness of up to 5000 nits, which significantly surpasses most flagships, though such levels are likely unattainable consistently in real-world use. Under the screen sits an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which operates faster and more reliably than optical alternatives.
The camera system also appears unusually powerful for a mid-range offering.
