Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new budget smartphone, the Redmi A7, with its debut seemingly just around the corner. The device, bearing the model number 26020RNB4A, has been certified by Thailand's NBTC regulator and previously appeared in the Eurasian Economic Commission database. Typically, such steps indicate an official announcement is likely within the coming weeks.
According to preliminary information, the Redmi A7 will target the entry-level segment and support only 4G connectivity. Leaks suggest the company is prioritizing battery life and a large screen over maximum performance. The smartphone is rumored to feature a 6.9-inch LCD display with 720p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate—a fairly uncommon combination for an affordable device.
It may use a Unisoc T7250 processor and is expected to run Android 15 with the HyperOS 3 interface. Configurations of up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage are also mentioned. For photography, it will rely on a 50MP main camera and a 13MP front-facing module.
A key feature could be its 6,000 mAh battery with support for 15W charging. Additionally, in some countries, the model might launch under the POCO brand as the C81 and C81 Pro. Xiaomi has employed similar rebranding strategies before, making this scenario appear quite plausible.
