Nothing has officially revealed the design of its upcoming Phone (4a) smartphone by publishing images on the X platform. The new model continues the brand's signature design philosophy, retaining the recognizable semi-transparent casing that has become a hallmark of the lineup. At the same time, it introduces several noticeable changes, affecting both the lighting system and the layout of elements.
The main innovation is the Glyph Bar lighting system. Positioned next to the main camera module, it consists of six square LED blocks. Each block contains nine independent mini-LEDs that can be controlled separately. According to the company, this new implementation is brighter than the previous Glyph Interface, which should make light notifications more visible and functional.
The smartphone features a horizontally arranged camera module with three lenses. The internal decorative elements under the transparent cover have also been redesigned, giving the device a more modern and sleek appearance. Another change is the relocation of the signature Essential button to the left side of the casing, while the volume keys and screen lock button are placed on the right.
Based on earlier information, the Nothing Phone (4a) is expected to come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to use a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging, and a triple main camera setup with 50MP, 50MP with 3.5x zoom, and 8MP sensors for ultra-wide-angle photography. The official unveiling is scheduled for March 5.
