Honor MagicPad 4 unveiled as world's thinnest Android tablet

Honor has unveiled its MagicPad 4 tablet ahead of a full presentation at MWC. The company claims it is the world's thinnest Android tablet, with a chassis measuring just 4.8mm, not counting the camera bump. That's a full millimeter thinner than the previous MagicPad 3, and even slimmer than the iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S11, which are around 5.1mm thick.

Beyond the record-thin body, the device features an updated 12.3-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Though the screen is slightly smaller, the switch from LCD to OLED should deliver higher contrast and richer colors. The tablet's weight has dropped to 450 grams, which is 145 grams lighter than its predecessor. This reduction was achieved through the new screen and a smaller 10,100 mAh battery. A 66W charger is included in the box.

At the heart of the MagicPad 4 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It will be available in configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a 13MP main camera and a 9MP front camera. It also boasts an eight-speaker audio system with spatial sound support, highlighting the model's multimedia focus.

The MagicPad 4 will run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Pricing and availability details are not yet available—more information is expected at Honor's official MWC press conference. If the claimed specifications hold true, the new tablet could become one of the most notable Android models in 2026.
