Realme GT 9 series may feature dual 200MP cameras

Chinese sources have revealed camera details for the upcoming Realme GT 9 series. According to insiders, the base GT 9 model may feature a 200-megapixel main camera module, while the GT 9 Pro could be equipped with two 200-megapixel cameras. If confirmed, this would represent a significant upgrade for the lineup.

For context, the previous generation was more modest: the Realme GT 8 had no 200-megapixel sensors at all, and the Realme GT 8 Pro offered only one 200-megapixel periscope camera with 3x optical zoom. The GT 9 Pro is expected to retain the periscope lens but add a 200-megapixel main module as well.

Industry observers note that by year's end, China may see a trend toward smartphones with dual 200-megapixel cameras. Similar configurations are rumored for the OPPO Find X9s, OPPO Find X9 Ultra, and vivo X300 Ultra models. If this becomes the new flagship standard, Realme appears determined to keep pace with competitors.

For now, there's no official confirmation from the company, and specifications could change before the announcement. However, if the GT 9 series does include two 200-megapixel sensors in the Pro version, it could impact not only the devices' positioning but also their pricing.
