Luna has rolled out a major update for its second-generation smart ring, the Luna Ring Gen 2, introducing Luna Voice. This hands-free feature lets users log meals, workouts, supplement intake, and subjective feelings via voice commands, eliminating the need to pull out a phone or interrupt daily activities.
The ring continues to monitor key health metrics: heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels (SpO2), sleep quality, and skin temperature. The latter is particularly useful for tracking women's health. Luna Voice also learns user habits, offering reminders to drink water or cut back on caffeine—but it stays quiet if those needs are already met.
Integrated with AI, Luna Voice can help craft nutrition and exercise plans, provide real-time coaching during workouts, and analyze post-activity recovery based on collected biometric data. On iOS, the only catch is that users must access the voice AI through Siri, due to Apple's platform restrictions.
Battery life ranges from four to seven days on a single charge, extending up to 30 days with the charging case. A full ring charge takes 60–80 minutes, while the case needs about two hours of charging once a month. Compatible with Android and iOS devices, the ring requires no subscription. It's crafted from titanium with a PVD coating and is water-resistant up to 5 ATM.
The Luna Ring Gen 2 is priced at $330 or £300 and available through Luna's official online store.
