OnePlus 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5: 1.15 mm bezels, nanoceramic frame, Oct 27 launch

OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5: the OnePlus 15. The company has rolled out a string of teasers highlighting the flagship’s key design cues. One image prominently features the date October 27, which industry chatter links to the device’s official launch in China. With preorders already open there, the debut looks close.

The OnePlus 15 leans into a display with exceptionally slim bezels—just 1.15 mm, edging out the recently released Xiaomi 17 at 1.18 mm. It also introduces a mid-frame made from an aerospace nanoceramic metal, which the company presents as a sturdier alternative to the iPhone 17 Pro’s chassis. If the promise of extra durability holds in real use, that detail could quietly become one of its biggest selling points.

Insiders say the OnePlus 15 will roll out globally in November 2025, and suggest its price could come in slightly below last year’s model—a small but telling move that may sharpen the phone’s appeal against rivals.
