Xiaomi 17 global version: specs, price, and pre-order details

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 17 smartphone on the global market, positioning it as a compact flagship to compete with the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S26. The device first debuted in China over five months ago and is now available internationally alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitzphone models.

The smartphone features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3500 nits. Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The Xiaomi 17 boasts a quad-camera system, with each lens at 50 MP, including a telephoto module with an equivalent focal length of 60 mm. It supports wired charging at 100 W and wireless charging at 50 W.

One notable change from the Chinese version is a reduced battery capacity. Instead of 7000 mAh, the global version has a 6,330 mAh battery, which is about 9.5% smaller. This could impact battery life compared to the model for the Chinese market. The color palette has also been updated: the white version has been replaced with Venture Green, with Black, Ice Blue, and Alpine Pink also available.

The Xiaomi 17 is offered in two configurations with 12 GB of RAM—a 256 GB storage version priced at 999 euros and a 512 GB version that costs 100 euros more. For pre-orders placed by March 14, buyers can get a Xiaomi Tag tracker for a symbolic 0.99 euros and a 120 W power adapter at a discounted price.
