Redmi K90 Ultra release date and features: what to expect

The release timeline for the Redmi K90 Ultra has shifted once more. Initially, the smartphone was expected to launch in February, but no official announcement followed. Now, a new insider report points to a potential launch in April 2026.

According to the well-known Chinese source Digital Chat Station, one manufacturer is preparing a flagship Dimensity 9500 processor for an April release. While the specific smartphone model wasn't named in the publication, users and analysts are linking this leak to the Redmi K90 Ultra, based on the insider's previous reports and discussion in the comments.

The device is anticipated to feature a 6.8-inch display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Other rumored specs include an 8,500 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging, a metal frame, an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and full water resistance.

A global version of the device is also reported. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to serve as the global variant of the Redmi K90 Ultra, though it may lose some features, such as a built-in active cooling system. In China, the smartphone will likely debut alongside the Redmi K Pad 2 tablet, which is also aimed at the high-end segment.
