OnePlus continues to reveal details about its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15T. According to brand executives, the device will feature enhanced water and dust protection across multiple standards. The model is expected to meet IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. If confirmed, this smartphone could become the only compact flagship on the market to combine all four protection levels simultaneously. Such a comprehensive set of certifications is exceptionally rare, even among larger devices.
The IP69K standard ensures resistance to high-pressure, high-temperature water exposure. During testing, equipment with this rating can withstand water jets at pressures up to 100 bar and temperatures reaching 80 degrees Celsius. In practice, this means the device will likely perform better in heavy rain, hot water splashes, or during intensive cleaning.
Beyond its rugged build, the OnePlus 15T is slated to pack flagship hardware. Preliminary reports indicate it will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. In AnTuTu benchmarks, the smartphone reportedly scored over 4.45 million points.
The new model may sport a 6.32-inch display with minimal symmetrical bezels, helping maintain a compact form factor. It is also expected to include a battery with up to 7,500 mAh capacity, supporting 100W fast charging.
Camera configurations could feature either a 200MP main sensor or a 50MP sensor paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. For international markets, a variant named the OnePlus 15s might be introduced.
