Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra: Pininfarina-designed flagship smartphone

Infinix has teamed up with the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina to create its flagship smartphone, the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra. The device was unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. This isn't just a designer edition—the NOTE 60 Ultra is positioned as a full-fledged flagship with several unconventional technical solutions.

The standout feature is the absence of a traditional camera island. Infinix employs a Uni-Chassis Cam design, integrating the cameras flush with the rear panel made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. This results in a completely flat body and a clean silhouette, echoing the design philosophy of supercars.

The main sensor is a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HPE, complemented by a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens and an ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view. The phone supports XDR Ultra HDR video recording, a first for the brand. Zoom capabilities range from 2x optical to 100x digital.

The smartphone features two-way satellite communication, enabling calls and messaging outside cellular coverage. The company claims extensive international coverage, going well beyond standard SOS functions. Audio is tuned in collaboration with JBL, utilizing stereo speakers. The display boasts a 1.5K Ultra HDR resolution with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits.

Powering the device is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor. It comes in a single configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The phone runs Android 16 with the XOS 16 skin.

The battery is a silicon-carbon unit with a 7000 mAh capacity. Infinix highlights a self-healing technology, stating the battery can recover up to 1% of its capacity every 200 charging cycles. It supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, with a full charge taking about 48 minutes.

Pininfarina's influence is evident in the color options: Torino Black, Monza Red, Amalfi Blue, and Roma Silver, each inspired by Italian automotive culture. The rear panel includes a light strip reminiscent of supercar taillights and a hidden Active Matrix display for notifications and animations. The company promises three years of Android updates and five years of security updates.
