IGN has released a new nine-minute video of Forza Horizon 6, showcasing a relaxed drive through its virtual Japan setting. This footage kicks off IGN First's exclusive coverage for March, highlighting the game's expansive map with diverse natural zones and urban landscapes.
The route starts in the south of the map, travels through several biomes, and heads toward the outskirts of Tokyo before the car returns north to one of the permanent race tracks. Based on the video, the landscapes transition smoothly from countryside and mountain roads to dense cityscapes. The developers intentionally reduced traffic in this demo to let viewers focus on the environment, so the final version will feature more vehicles on the roads.
The gameplay was recorded from the driver's seat of a Saleen S7, though the cover car will be the Toyota GR GT. That model currently can't be shown in gameplay due to standard licensing procedures. The developers also confirmed the return of special Horizon/Forza Edition cars with enhanced bonuses, though details remain under wraps for now.
Forza Horizon 6 launches on May 19 for PC and Xbox Series S/X, with a PlayStation 5 version following later this year. In the coming weeks, expect more details to emerge, including information on event types and expanded customization options.
