Discover vivo's new ZEISS telephoto lenses for the X300 Ultra, offering 400mm and 200mm focal lengths, high optical zoom, and enhanced stabilization for sharp long-range shots.

vivo has unveiled new ZEISS telephoto lenses designed for use with the upcoming flagship vivo X300 Ultra smartphone. These accessories significantly expand mobile photography capabilities, allowing users to capture distant subjects without noticeable quality loss. The 400mm focal length version was previously showcased at MWC 2026, and company representative Han Boxiao has now confirmed a 200mm version will also be available.
The centerpiece is the G2 Ultra telephoto lens with an equivalent 400mm focal length. Developed for maximum long-range zoom, it pairs with the vivo X300 Ultra's 200-megapixel periscope camera to deliver extremely high magnification. Starting from a base equivalent of 23mm, the system achieves approximately 17.4x optical zoom—one of the highest figures among smartphone lens accessories.
vivo has also enhanced stabilization for this type of photography. The lens supports optical stabilization with about 3° of correction and a high-refresh-rate tracking system that helps maintain focus at up to 60 frames per second. According to the company, even with the extender attached, stabilization reaches around CIPA 4.5. This enables sharp shots at equivalent focal lengths up to 1600mm, making it suitable for wildlife, sports, or stage performance photography.
Alongside the larger accessory, vivo introduced a more compact second-generation G2 lens with a 200mm focal length. It has been made lighter and more convenient for everyday use, with weight reduced by roughly 27% to about 153 grams and a smaller overall footprint.
Despite the reduced size, the optical design has been upgraded. The new lens incorporates 15 elements instead of the previous 13, which should improve image sharpness. The system maintains high stabilization at CIPA 6.5. vivo notes that these accessories are part of a broader ZEISS camera ecosystem, which includes lenses ranging from an ultra-wide 14mm to a portrait 85mm, plus long-focus solutions at 200mm and 400mm.
