Honor has officially launched the Magic V6 foldable smartphone, featuring the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in its full version and a record-breaking 7,150 mAh battery for this format. The new device comes in four colors—red, gold, white, and black—with a starting price of 8,999 yuan for the 12/256 GB configuration, while the top-tier 16 GB+1 TB model is priced at 11,999 yuan.
The smartphone boasts an updated screen with 5,600 layers of silicon nitride for enhanced durability. According to the manufacturer, this design offers triple the scratch resistance and minimal reflectivity. The inner display has been improved with a UTG glass construction, an anti-glare AR layer, and a carbon substrate, which increases impact resistance by 33% and reduces the visibility of the fold by 44% compared to the previous generation. Peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits on the inner screen and 6,000 nits on the outer display.
The chassis is crafted from a new Honor Shield Steel alloy, produced using aviation-grade forging under 3,150 tons of pressure, with a strength of up to 2,800 MPa. The device features IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, and it can withstand submersion in water up to 4 meters deep. Inside, it houses a next-generation Qinghai Lake battery with up to 32% silicon content and an energy density of 985 Wh/L. There is also a version available with a 6,850 mAh battery. Users receive a complimentary 120-watt GaN-based charger.
The Honor Magic V6 includes a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with a 1/2-inch sensor and CIPA 6.5 stabilization, along with the proprietary AiMAGE engine and advanced AI functions for photography and video calls. The smartphone supports 25 5G bands, satellite SMS via Beidou, real-time AI translation across 14 languages, and compatibility with the Apple ecosystem, offering access to iCloud, functionality as an extended display for Mac, and data sharing with iPhones and Apple Watches.
