Xiaomi has officially announced the rollout schedule for its new HyperOS 3.1 system. After an extensive testing phase, the update begins rolling out today for the first batch of devices. Initially, this covers models sold in China, but sources indicate a global launch could follow later this month.
The first wave includes the Xiaomi 17 series, Xiaomi Pad 8, and Redmi K90. By the end of March, the update will reach the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, Xiaomi Pad 7, Redmi K80, Redmi Turbo 5, and Redmi K Pad.
By April 15, the system will become available for the Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 and MIX Flip, Redmi K70, Redmi Turbo 4, Redmi Note 15, and Redmi Pad 2 Pro.
The final wave, concluding by April 23, will cover the Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, Redmi K60, Redmi Turbo 3, Redmi Note 15R, Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 13, Redmi 15R 5G, Redmi 14R 5G, Redmi 14C, and the Redmi Pad Pro and Pad 2 lineup.
HyperOS 3.1 brings several key improvements. The system introduces Super OTA, a mechanism that speeds up update installation and reduces reboot times. Interface animations have been refined, while the Gallery and Weather apps receive updates. Lock screen customization options are expanded, and HyperIsland functionality sees enhancements. Additionally, the update delivers better memory optimization, smoother app launches, and extended integration with Apple AirPods.
