New details have emerged online about Apple's first foldable smartphone, unofficially dubbed the iPhone Fold. According to Chinese insider Instant Digital, the device will offer three storage options, each with a substantial price tag.
The new model is expected to come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. In U.S. dollars, approximate pricing translates to around $2,320 for the base version, $2,610 for the 512GB model, and up to $2,900 for the 1TB configuration. These figures are preliminary and may vary across markets, but they signal where Apple plans to position this device.
If these leaks prove accurate, the foldable iPhone would cost nearly twice as much as the iPhone 17 Pro Max and significantly outprice the standard iPhone 17 Pro. Earlier analyst predictions placed the device in the $1,800 to $2,500 range, but the latest information points to a higher threshold.
Instant Digital has a track record of accurately revealing Apple product details, including specifications for the iPhone 17 Pro and features of previous generations. Apple is expected to unveil its first foldable iPhone this September.
