According to a new leak, Honor is working on a new flagship smartphone with a relatively compact screen. The device is expected to feature a 6.36-inch display and will likely be part of the flagship Honor Magic lineup, though its exact name remains undisclosed.
The information comes from insider Digital Chat Station, who shared details on the Weibo platform. They noted that one of the main features of the upcoming smartphone will be a battery with a capacity of around 8,000 mAh, which is significantly larger than most modern devices with similar screen sizes.
For comparison, current models with displays around 6.3 inches come with noticeably smaller batteries. For instance, the vivo X300 has a 6,040 mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro offers about 6,300 mAh. This means the new Honor smartphone could become one of the most long-lasting compact flagships on the market.
The leak also suggests the device will support wireless charging, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and a periscope telephoto lens. Details about the processor, cameras, and release timeline have not yet been revealed. In practice, this move highlights Honor's focus on combining flagship features with impressive battery life in a compact form factor.
