In Japan, prices for AMD's Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards continue to fall. According to local component market analysts, the flagship Radeon RX 9070 XT has seen a significant price drop in recent months, returning to levels last seen at the end of 2025. This decline is a response to a sharp drop in demand following a period of strong price increases for graphics accelerators.
Back in January, the average price of the RX 9070 XT on the Japanese market reached around $880. That was 30–35 percent more expensive compared to prices in November of the previous year. However, by February the situation began to change rapidly: gamer demand fell, forcing sellers to adjust their pricing.
By March, the average price of the flagship card had dropped to approximately $682. This represents a decrease of about 22 percent since January and nearly 19 percent in just one month. In some stores, the graphics card's price has already dipped below $630, making it cheaper than some promotional offers that appeared on the market earlier.
A similar trend is being observed with other models in the RDNA 4 lineup, including the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9060 XT, which have also become noticeably cheaper in recent weeks. Against this backdrop, NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50 series cards are showing the opposite trend: their prices remain high, and in the mid-range and budget segments, costs are in some cases even continuing to rise.
