Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ leak reveals battery and specs

The first details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ tablet have surfaced online. A leak has revealed information about its battery, which will be slightly more capacious compared to the previous generation.

According to sources, the device will feature two battery variants with model numbers EB-BX846AAE and EB-BX846AAY. Both batteries have a nominal capacity of 10,392 mAh. Typically, the actual capacity of Samsung device batteries slightly exceeds the nominal value, so the final figure could be in the range of approximately 10,500–10,600 mAh. This represents an increase of about 4–5% over the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to continue the series' traditions with a 12.4-inch OLED display featuring QHD+ resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The tablet may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ chip. Preliminary data suggests it will offer at least 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Support for microSD cards is also anticipated, allowing users to expand storage capacity.

Like other premium tablets in the Galaxy Tab series, the new model will likely include four speakers with Dolby Atmos support, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a bundled Samsung S Pen stylus with similar protection. Additionally, the device may support fast wired charging with a power of at least 45 W.

Samsung has not officially disclosed the tablet's specifications yet. The new series of flagship tablets, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra model, is expected to be unveiled in the third quarter of this year.
