New details have emerged online about the upcoming flagship Xiaomi 18 Pro, which could stand out significantly from its competitors. According to insider Digital Chat Station, the company is preparing a compact smartphone by modern standards, with a screen diagonal of around 6.3 inches, yet packing extremely powerful hardware and unusual specifications.
The device's main feature is likely to be its camera system. The Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to feature two 200-megapixel sensors—a main module and a periscope telephoto lens. This represents a major step forward compared to the Xiaomi 17 Pro, which used 50-megapixel sensors. Such an upgrade could significantly improve photo quality and zoom capabilities.
Equally impressive appears to be the battery life. The smartphone is rumored to have a battery with a capacity of around 7,000 mAh, which is highly unusual for a compact body. At the same time, the device is expected to retain support for wireless charging, IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, and an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Additionally, it is reported that Xiaomi may keep the secondary display on the back panel, despite the increased size of the cameras and battery. The processor is likely to be the new generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The official announcement of the Xiaomi 18 series is expected in the fall of 2026, though the specifications are still preliminary.
