Microsoft has released an emergency update for Windows 11 to fix Bluetooth issues. The out-of-band update, KB5084897, addresses bugs affecting the display and functionality of the Bluetooth interface.
Earlier, on March 13, Microsoft issued update KB5084597 to patch critical security vulnerabilities known as CVE-2026-25172, CVE-2026-25173, and CVE-2026-26111. These flaws impacted the Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) management tool and could potentially allow remote code execution on affected devices.
On March 16, the company introduced KB5084897 to resolve the Bluetooth-related errors. Users had reported that even when devices connected successfully, the system continued to show them as "not connected" in settings and the Notification Center. This created visual glitches and made working with peripherals difficult.
The incorrect display of available device lists made it impossible to add new peripheral gadgets like mice, keyboards, or headphones. Many users found that standard pairing methods simply didn't work, causing significant inconvenience.
Update KB5084897 is designed for specific versions of Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024, including 25H2 and 24H2, with support for background installation. Microsoft recommends installing it as soon as possible to restore proper Bluetooth and system interface functionality.
