LG UltraFine evo 6K monitor with Thunderbolt 5 for creators

LG Electronics has launched the UltraFine evo 6K — the world’s first monitor to pair a 6K resolution with Thunderbolt 5. The model targets video editors, graphic designers, and content creators who work with heavy, highly detailed projects.

The 32-inch display delivers 6144x3456 pixels at 224 PPI, covers 98% of DCI-P3 and 99.5% of Adobe RGB, and carries VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. It comes factory calibrated for macOS to ensure accurate color and brightness, while Studio Mode adds three color profiles tailored for Mac devices. The spec sheet reads like a practical checklist for modern studios, with an emphasis on precision and consistency.

UltraFine evo 6K renders 2.5 times more pixels than a 4K panel, and pairing two units provides nearly five times the workspace. Thunderbolt 5 supports daisy-chaining and delivers speeds up to 120 Gbps, suitable for real-time 4K rendering and handling 8K RAW video. The monitor can act as a hub with a built-in KVM switch and a set of ports for SSDs, eGPUs, and other peripherals — exactly the headroom demanding workflows tend to require.

The borderless design includes tilt and pivot adjustments, a practical touch for long sessions and vertical content such as YouTube Shorts. UltraFine evo 6K has already earned a CES 2025 Innovation Award and an iF Design Award 2025. In South Korea and Japan, it sells for about $2,140, with sales in the United States and Europe set to begin in October. The positioning is clear: this is a premium tool meant for serious work.
