Xiaomi has ended support for its popular Xiaomi 12 smartphone series. According to the company's official security center, these devices will no longer receive HyperOS updates or security patches, marking them as End of Life (EOL).
The final software versions for these updates are clear: the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro got HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 15, while the Xiaomi 12 Lite finishes its cycle with HyperOS 1.0 and Android 14. All three models originally launched with Android 12 and were gradually updated to their latest versions.
Also included in the outdated list is the Redmi Note 12 5G, which after two OS updates runs on Android 14 with the HyperOS 2.0 interface. Users of these devices can still use their phones, but without new security patches, they face increased vulnerability risks.
Xiaomi advises users to consider newer smartphone models with current HyperOS versions and regular security updates to stay protected and enjoy the latest features.
